In a typical year, February is considered a slow month in terms of Iowa auction sales. So far, 2022 is not a typical year. Iowa saw 74 tracts sell at public auction, bringing over 8,100 acres to the market.
These tracts brought an average dollar per acre of $10,669, average dollar per tillable acre of $12,651 and an average dollar per CSR2 of $164. This is only $1 per CSR2 point more than January 2022's average, and down 3% from Q4 2021.
