U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack has been scheduled to speak, January 29, during the 2016 Land Investment Expo.

Vilsack, in 2014, became the longest-serving U.S. ag secretary in the past 50 years. Prior to his appointment, he served two terms as Iowa’s governor – from 1999 to 2007 – as well as in the Iowa State Senate and as mayor of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.

Vilsack, Chair of the first-ever White House Rural Council, works alongside the USDA to strengthen services for rural businesses and entrepreneurs while finding new ways to draw connections among demand for investment in rural areas and the financial community.
