What was your background before joining Peoples Company?
Before joining Peoples Company, I had been a farm manager and land salesman for UFARM out of the Kearney, Nebraska, office. I started with UFARM as an intern in 2022 through 2023, while completing an Agribusiness degree at the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
What led you to Peoples Company?
I was led to Peoples Company through the merger of UFARM and Peoples Company in January of 2025.
How has your business changed since becoming part of Peoples Company?
The biggest change for me is being able to focus on land management and improve my ability to manage those assets on behalf of clients specifically through additional technology services provided at Peoples Company including Farmworth, Salesforce, and Propel Mapper.
What has been the best part of being affiliated with Peoples Company?
The best part of being affiliated with Peoples Company is how tech-driven they are. As a younger land manager who is fairly tech-savvy, it has been great to work with a company who is constantly trying to make my job easier by using, advancing, and adjusting technology.
Is there a success that you have had that wouldn’t have occurred if you were not part of the company?
Since the merger with Peoples Company, I have had more opportunities to expand land management accounts with the investment clientele of Peoples Company. As I find local sales, I pass them along to the Capital Markets team so they can put them in front of a larger buyer pool with a possibility of me getting to manage the farms.
What are some advantages of being part of Peoples Company?
One advantage of being part of Peoples Company is being able to soley focus on land management. As a UFARM agent, I was responsible for managing land assets and trying to sell properties at the same time. At times it was difficult to provide a top service in one department because my time and resources were being taken by the other.
What was the most challenging thing about becoming affiliated with Peoples Company?
The most challenging thing about being affiliated with Peoples Company was the push and strive to continue to grow and add additional value to better serve our clients. Initially, I did not see how those additional changes helped clients and it added additional work for me. But, as time went on and pieces started to come together, the final picture showed the added value and reasoning behind the changes to management practices.
What advice would you give to someone that is considering joining Peoples Company?
The advice I would give to someone considering joining Peoples Company is be prepared to grow. At Peoples Company, growth is a major focus whether that’s growing your business portfolio, your service to current business clients, or growth as an individual person. All of these will be pushed to grow in order to help you be successful.
What else would you like to share about your affiliation with Peoples Company?
Since becoming affiliated with Peoples Company, it has been educational to see and discuss the different aspects of agricultural land viewed both as a financial asset along with someone’s family legacy/heritage. With the different divisions of Peoples Company from brokerage, capital markets, energy management, and more interesting to me, corporate services, I have enjoyed learning how land is valued strictly as an investment and the different aspects that are reviewed before making an investment into a specific property.
