PRICE/ACRE UPDATE

There were twenty-eight tracts of land that sold at auction between September 1st and September 8th. During these auctions, there was a total of 3,170 +/- acres available for purchase and of those acres, 2,001 +/- were tillable acres. 

A few of the highlights from last week:

• 95 acres of tillable land sold in Hardin County for $8,000/acre with a CSR2 of 89.9 on the tillable acres.
• 79.38 acres of tillable land sold in Sioux County for $15,600/acre with a CSR2 of 91.0 on the tillable acres.
• 173 acres of tillable and recreational land sold in Winneshiek County for $7,168/acre with a CSR2 of 72.9 on the tillable acres.
• 39 acres of timbered land sold in Appanoose County for $2,000/acre.

There was a total of five tracts that did not meet the “reserve” price during last week’s auctions. The sale of one of these five tracts was negotiated following the auction.

There are 33 tracts that are scheduled to be auctioned this week.
