PRICE/ACRE UPDATE

There were 18+ tracts of land sold at auction between January 14th and January 20th. During these auctions, there was a total of 1,874 +/- acres available for purchase and of those acres, 1,512 +/- were tillable acres. The sale results were stable overall and there were no “no-sales”. The Price/Acre ranges from $675/acre for a WRP tract in southeast Iowa to $12,400/acre for a tillable tract in northwest Iowa. The average Dollar ($) / Tillable CSR2 point for the tracts that successfully sold is $117/pt.  

A few of the highlights from last week:

• 56 acres sold in Mills County for $7,800/acre with a CSR2 of 86.6
• 98 acres sold in Lyon County for $12,400/acre with a CSR2 of 68.8
• 103 acres sold in Louisa County for $6,000/acre with a CSR2 52.5
• 156 acres of tillable bottom land sold in Ringgold County for $3,875/acre with a CSR2 54.8
• Two WRP tracts sold in Louisa County. One tract brought $900/acre and the second tract brought $675/acre
