Peoples Company, a nationally recognized land transaction and advisory firm, today announced the promotion of Kyle Walker to Director of Asset Management and the hiring of Dave Mielnicki as Director of Appraisal. Walker’s promotion was effective January 1, 2021, while Mielnicki began his role with Peoples Company on February 1, 2021.

Kyle Walker is based out of Peoples Company’s Indianola, Iowa, office. Walker has extensive land management experience within Peoples Company. From 2017-2020, Walker was the top income producer in the land management division of Peoples Company. In his new role, Walker will lead the asset management team with an emphasis on growing the division on a national level. Walker is responsible for streamlining internal processes, implementing sustainable management practices, managing institutional assets, and expanding custom farming through Peoples Company’s Direct Operations platform. Walker is a graduate of Iowa State University and his designations include: Accredited Farm Manager (ASFMRA), Accredited Agricultural Consultant (ASFMRA), and Certified Agricultural Consultant (ASAC). 

Dave Mielnicki, who is based in Marlette, Michigan, is a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in finance. Mielnicki has spent the past 16 years of his professional career in the field of real estate appraisal. For the past decade, Mielnicki worked as a director with CBRE, appraising a wide array of commercial real estate ranging from land and residential subdivisions to light industrial buildings, churches, schools, and multi-tenant office buildings. Mielnicki holds the MAI and SRA designations from the Appraisal Institute. The MAI designation is recognized by courts, government agencies, and investors as certification of excellence in the field of real estate valuation, while the SRA designation demonstrates rigorous continuing education and adherence to a strong ethical code related to services provided for residential properties. As the Director of Appraisal for Peoples Company, Dave will be responsible for managing and growing Peoples Company’s appraisal division across the country.
