Emma Hamilton assists the Capital Markets and Corporate Services teams as a Land Analyst. She is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and conducting due diligence on high-quality farmland assets. Emma works diligently to acquire properties by tracking, organizing, and analysing all potential deals that could fit client needs including auctions, listings, and off-market opportunities. She assists in the creation of investment summaries which include all relevant property maps, easements and encumbrances, location data, rent and crop history, financial performance/proforma, and comparable sales in the area. Emma compiles diligence items and marketing materials for listings, auctions, and off-market opportunities the Corporate Services team works on.
Emma acts as the project and development manager for Peoples Company's in-house mapping software, FarmWorth. FarmWorth is a powerful and comprehensive toolkit that seamlessly combines data layers with the ability to store and identify client farms. Emma works with the software development team to communicate new feature requests and data sources to integrate into FarmWorth so the platform better serves Peoples Company workflows and client outcomes.
Prior to joining the team full time, Emma served as an intern assisting Capital Markets analysts and Peoples Company agents with land transactions by collaborating with the team to prepare land summaries, listings, auctions, and marketing materials. She received her bachelor's degree in agricultural business with a minor in entrepreneurial studies.
