Dan Theilen
Land Manager, UFARM
Dan Theilen serves as a Land Manager in Nebraska, providing comprehensive land management services to property owners seeking strategic guidance in land stewardship and agricultural operations. Since 2020, he has partnered closely with landowners and tenants to deliver thoughtful oversight across all aspects of property ownership, operational performance, and environmental sustainability. Dan manages farmland throughout eastern Nebraska and takes pride in serving as a trusted liaison between landowners and the agricultural producers who farm their land, ensuring alignment of ownership objectives with sound agronomic practices.
Prior to joining UFARM and Peoples Company, Dan spent 20 years with Cargill, Inc., where he held a variety of leadership roles in facility operations management across the Midwest. His extensive background in operational management, combined with his deep agricultural roots, brings a practical and results-oriented perspective to his work with clients.
Raised on a row-crop grain and swine production farm in east-central Nebraska, Dan developed a lifelong connection to agriculture at an early age. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, further strengthening his technical expertise and commitment to responsible land management.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Dan operates a family farming operation encompassing approximately 500 acres of row crop and pastureland near Creston and Brainard, Nebraska. On his own operation, he emphasizes conservation-focused farming practices, including no-till and cover crop systems, to enhance soil health and promote long-term land productivity.
Dan is based out of the Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska offices. He and his wife, Alicia, reside in Bennington, Nebraska, with their two daughters.
