Brandon Bergquist

 

Brandon Bergquist brings deep Iowa roots, extensive land knowledge, an understanding of farming operations, and a strong network of relationships to his role as a Land Agent with Peoples Company. Raised on his family's century farm near Lohrville in Calhoun County, Iowa, Brandon developed a firsthand understanding of agriculture, land stewardship, and the value of hard work while helping operate the family's livestock and row crop farm. He also gained valuable experience in residential home construction, participating in the building of single-family homes and developing practical knowledge of property improvements, construction processes, and real estate development. 

Brandon specializes in helping clients navigate all types of Iowa land transactions, including farmland auctions, traditional listings, private-treaty sales, and 1031 exchange transactions. Drawing on his agricultural background, market knowledge, and extensive professional network, he works with landowners, investors, farm operators, and families to develop strategies that maximize property value and achieve their ownership and investment goals. Whether marketing highly productive tillable farmland, transitional land, recreational property, hunting land, or acreages, Brandon understands the unique factors that influence land values and buyer demand across Iowa's diverse markets. His experience includes assisting clients with farmland acquisitions and dispositions, estate and family land transitions, investment property sales, auction marketing, and tax-deferred exchanges. By combining local market expertise with Peoples Company's industry-leading resources, Brandon helps clients evaluate opportunities, structure transactions, and navigate the complexities of today's land market with confidence. 

In addition to his real estate career, Brandon serves as a Conservation Officer with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, where he has spent more than two decades building trusted relationships with landowners, farmers, hunters, business owners, and community leaders throughout Central Iowa. His unique background provides clients with valuable insight into land management, habitat development, conservation practices, property stewardship, and the application of Iowa laws affecting landowners and rural property. Known for his responsiveness, integrity, and "from-the-farm" work ethic, Brandon is committed to delivering exceptional service and achieving successful outcomes for every client he represents. 

Brandon lives in Story County with his wife and two children. As a licensed Iowa real estate professional, he specializes in farmland, agricultural investments, recreational land, hunting properties, acreages, and rural real estate throughout Iowa. 

Brandon earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.
