Pens 1 & 4 were constructed in the 1970's, Pens 5 & 6 were constructed in the 1980's, Pens 7 & 8 were constructed in 2006, and the most recent construction was for Pens 9 & 10 in 2015 (see Pen Layout Map). All pens are equipped with a sprinkler system and sunshades to reduce heat stress during the summer, as well as two large water holding tanks from the well to supply the water requirements of all cattle during the day.
The cattle working facilities includes a covered 64' x 90' open air structure, built in 2018, equipped with a Silencer squeeze chute, handling pens with metal pipe fencing, holding pens with fence line bunks, and loading metal chute with brushed concrete flooring. The turn-key feedlot has valid National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit for Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations with the State of Nebraska. There is an oversized livestock waste control structure located southeast of the feeding pens.
