For over 40 years, Woodhill Farms has been a cattle operation with a global reputation for its high-quality beef genetics. The Borgen family originally settled in the area by purchasing the first farm in this portfolio in 1902. Over the years, the Borgens expanded their land base to nearly 400 acres in the early 1980’s. In 1983, Brian and Lori McCulloh partnered with the Borgens to start Woodhill Farms. Brian and Lori, along with Dan and Anne Borgen, worked together to grow the land base and increase from 35 registered Angus cows to over 280 head at the time of the cattle dispersal. Woodhill Farms has marketed semen and embryos to five continents and has sold/leased more than 40 bulls to A.I. companies. Woodhill received the Certified Angus Beef ® Seed Stock Producer “Commitment to Excellence” Award in 2000 and the Wisconsin Beef Improvement Association “Seed Stock Producer of the Year” in 1996. Managing partner Brian McCulloh was awarded the Angus Heritage Award in 2020. The core to the great herds produced over the years was the efficiency and sustainability of the land where the farm is located.
