Jake Sickels is a Land Broker with Peoples Company, a nationally recognized land advisory firm that offers brokerage and auctions, farm management, land appraisal, capital placement, energy management, and crop insurance services across the country. 

Jake joined the Peoples Company team in 2017 after completing his Bachelor of Science degree at Iowa State University, where he majored in Agricultural Business. Jake's core competencies include the marketing of rural property via various methods of brokerage and auction, handling trust and estate assets, 1031 exchanges, land consultation, dividing land amongst parties of interest, and buyer representation. 

Jake is exclusively licensed to sell real estate in the State of Iowa and has been fortunate to help clients buy or sell land in over 40 Iowa Counties. He has been recognized as a top producer by Peoples Company, REALTORS® Land Institute, and has been awarded a Land Star Top Producer by Land.com in the Mid-West, where 18 of the top producers across 13 states are recognized for their production volume in land sales. Jake is an active member of the Des Moines Estate Planners Forum, REALTORS® Land Institute, Iowa Association of REALTORS®, and National Association of REALTORS®.

Jake grew up in Indianola, Iowa, where Peoples Company was originally founded in the 1960's. Jake feels that working for Peoples Company is a special thing, given the ability to learn from and collaborate with the best professionals in the land business on a daily basis. He values that while the company is well positioned to exeute for clients at a high level across the entire county, Peoples Company still continues to do business where they have been helping people for nearly 70 years. Jake currently resides with his wife Hannah and son Charlie on a small, first generation farm just south of Des Moines, Iowa.
