Alec Selberg

Alec Selberg is a Land Agent with Peoples Company and joined the team in 2026. Raised in Red Oak, Iowa, and deeply rooted in Southwest Iowa agriculture, he brings a personal connection to the land, military leadership, and agronomic expertise to his work representing landowners and buyers across Iowa. He understands the land, the markets, and the people of Iowa because he is one of them.

After graduating from Iowa State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy, Alec completed a five-year term of service as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army. A graduate of the United States Army Ranger School, he served as a Captain in the 10th Mountain Division and completed one combat deployment to Syria. These experiences reinforced the values of honesty, transparency, discipline, and a tireless work ethic that now guide every client relationship.

Alec resides in Indianola with his wife, Jalene, and remains actively involved in his family’s farming operation. He is committed to serving the agricultural, business, and rural communities that shaped him by helping landowners navigate farmland transactions with integrity, clarity, and genuine care.
