Utah's agriculture is dominated by hay, particularly alfalfa, with significant acreage and production. Hay, including alfalfa, occupies the largest portion of agricultural land and contributes heavily to the state's total agricultural output. Corn, both for grain and silage, and winter wheat are also important crops, with corn being grown on 27,000 acres and wheat on 105,000 acres.
