LAND MANAGEMENT INTERN - NEBRASKA

Description

The Land Management Intern supports the team in the day-to-day operations of managing farmland and delivering high-quality service to clients. This hands-on internship provides valuable exposure to agriculture, real estate, and client relations by offering students the opportunity to learn directly from experienced Land Managers and contribute meaningfully to active land management projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support Land Managers in collecting and processing production data from contractors, FSA/NRCS offices, and third-party vendors.

  • Identify and organize property boundaries using online mapping and GIS tools.

  • Maintain organized digital files, task lists, and workflows across cloud-based platforms.

  • Assist in preparing and formatting proposals, budgets, business plans, and client-facing reports.

  • Participate in farm visits and help document field observations and management activities.

  • Capture and format aerial images and video for reporting purposes.

  • Conduct research to support Land Management Division projects and initiatives. Summarize findings to inform strategic decisions, client recommendations, and internal planning efforts.

  • Process, organize, and maintain accurate records within internal systems.

  • Attend team meetings and training sessions to build knowledge of land management practices and services.

  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc tasks as directed by division leadership.
