Peoples Company, an Iowa-based leader in land brokerage, land management, land investment and appraisal, and the annual host of the Land Investment Expo, is pleased to announce Martha Stewart, founder of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, an Emmy Award-winning television show host, bestselling author of over 90 books and America’s most trusted lifestyle expert and teacher, as the keynote speaker for the 2019 Land Investment Expo.
The 12th annual Land Investment Expo, which has become the leading national event on agricultural land and investment, will be held Friday, January 25, 2019, at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Tickets are now available online.
"I appreciate the invitation from Peoples Company to join the 2019 Land Investment Expo, which has quickly become the premier event focused on agricultural-related investment and entrepreneurship,” said Stewart. “Farm to market is much different today than it was a generation ago. As a small farm owner and businessperson, I look forward to sharing insight on how I believe today's agricultural and food economy can and should adapt to the evolving nature of both the marketplace and consumer behavior."
The first Land Investment Expo was held in 2008, attracting strong interest from land owners, farmers and financial and policy leaders mainly from Iowa and surrounding states. After several years of continued effort, planning and attention, the Expo grew into one of the nation’s premier forums focused on the future of agriculture. Today, the Land Investment Expo is recognized as a world-class conference with top-flight programming.
“Since the Land Investment Expo’s inception, attendees have come to expect high-caliber speakers and exceptional seminars on the latest trends in agriculture, food production, consumer habits, land production and value, and entrepreneurial insight,” said Peoples Company President Steve Bruere. “This year’s Expo brings new excitement, with a new, larger venue to accommodate the growing number of attendees, and now a top-tier speaker in Martha Stewart.”
The Expo annually attracts approximately 900 attendees from around the world, including major institutional investors, national agricultural organizations, economists, as well as political and academic leaders who recognize that the event is an important exchange on challenges and opportunities involving land investment, market forces and the growing impact of technology in land management.
