Mike Bousselot

BIO

Mike Bousselot leads the Capital Markets team as the Managing Director of Capital Partnerships. Mike deeply understands the farmland investments and is responsible for conducting business development activities and promoting the comprehensive investment structures offered by Capital Markets. With his experience in financial services and agricultural investment, Mike leads our efforts in engaging and retaining investment clients and capital partners. From first contact with our company to on-going investor relations, Mike facilitates all communication with our capital partners.

In addition to his role with Peoples Company, Mike serves as State Representative for Ankeny and North Polk County in the Iowa House of Representatives. Mike is an experienced public servant having worked for former Iowa Governor Terry Branstad as an advisor, legal counsel, and chief of staff. In addition, Mike was appointed by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds as Chief Fiscal Officer and Director of the Iowa Department of Management.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and Master of Accountancy from the University of Iowa. After graduation, he worked at Deloitte and Touche in Chicago. Mike then moved back to Des Moines, attending Drake University Law School and received his Juris Doctor. He has an abundance of experience in law, agriculture, and financial services having worked for Summit Agricultural Group and Innovative Captive Strategies.
